The Patina Phase

When your Dewdrop first arrives, the Corten steel may not yet display its full weathered appearance. Over the coming weeks and months, exposure to rain, moisture and fresh air will gradually develop the signature orange-brown patina that Corten steel is renowned for.

During this natural weathering process, some rust-coloured residue may wash from the surface. This is completely normal and forms part of the steel's protective layer.

For this reason, we recommend positioning your Dewdrop on:

• Gravel
• Stone
• Concrete
• Porcelain paving
• Natural paving slabs
• Other non-staining outdoor surfaces

Avoid placing the Dewdrop directly onto timber decking, untreated natural stone or other surfaces that could be affected by temporary rust run-off during the patina development stage.

Recommend Firewood

To enjoy the best performance from your Glowbus Dewdrop, we recommend burning seasoned hardwood logs with a moisture content below 20%.

Ideal hardwoods include:

• Oak
• Ash
• Beech
• Hornbeam
• Birch (excellent for lighting)

Seasoned hardwood burns hotter, produces less smoke, creates fewer sparks and leaves behind less residue than softwood, allowing you to enjoy a cleaner, more efficient fire.

Avoid burning treated timber, painted wood, MDF, plywood or household waste, as these can damage the fire pit and release harmful fumes.

The M and L models can be carefully rolled onto their side for repositioning when required, while the larger XL model typically requires mechanical assistance due to its weight.

To make maintenance effortless, every Dewdrop features a removable ash plate, allowing ash to be emptied quickly and cleanly without affecting the fire pits elegant sculptural appearance.

To ensure a smooth delivery experience, please take note of the following:

• Curbside Delivery: Your Glowbus Dewdrop will be delivered to the curbside of your property. Due to its substantial weight, our delivery partners are unable to position the fire pit in your garden or outdoor space.
• Assistance Required: We recommend having at least one additional person available to help move the Dewdrop into its final position. The M and L models can be carefully rolled onto their side for relocation, while the XLmodel typically requires suitable lifting equipment or mechanical assistance.
• Delivery Time: Standard delivery is typically 2–3 weeks from the date of your order.
• Customisation: If you choose to customise the base plate, please allow additional production time, as bespoke orders may extend the standard delivery lead time.
